**This blog is aimed at disabled people and their families/friends living in the Wrexham County Borough Council area.**

It is about time that I started my activism work again. Of course it has never stopped and I am constantly in dispute with the Adult Social Care department at Wrexham County Borough Council. Since October 2023, I have lodged an official complaint, two appeals, successfully gathered over 250 signatures for the Petitions Committee at the Senedd to consider my petition and set up my own Informal Care Co-Op.

I have also been working closely with Arfon Access who are a DPO based in Gwynedd. I would like to create an informal Wrexham branch of Arfon Access where we could pool ideas via video conferencing and give hope and support to disabled people based in Wrexham.

By keeping this an informal group, it will save us a lot of work and headaches. We won’t have to create our own infrastructure and management structure.

It is important that we mobilise disabled people so that they can have their voices heard and be properly represented. Disabled people have to be organised just to be able to live on a level playing field with the rest of society.
