Postcard #8 Received

Postcard #8 Received

Last night I received my eighth postcard from End to End after recording 750 miles of my trip from John O’Groats to Land’s End. I have copied the text in the email below so that my readers can follow the story of my trip. I have also linked this paragraph to the End to End website which I encourage everyone to look at. As I continue to chip away at my virtual journey down Britain, I also wonder if I can count on your support and encouragement by sponsoring me. My JustGiving page is linked to at the bottom of this page.

Feeling sore today? You’ll probably feel sore tomorrow!

You’re near Exeter? Do you need to stop there for a rest?

A few miles after Exter you’ll be in the Meldon area, on Dartmoor National Park. If you like castles and you like history then visit Okehampton Castle.

Meldon is a fantastic spot to stretch your legs.

When you see the “Nearly There” trees up the hill you’ll know that Cornwall is not far!!

You can take a small detour to visit Treguddick Manor, the Manor was built in 1576 by Nicholas Treguddick, and boasts a number of historical features: our favourite is the royal crest presiding over the dining hall, dated to 1593, when legend has it that Elizabeth I visited the Manor and held royal court.

“Whenever you find yourself doubting how far you can go, just remember how far you have come.” – Unknown

I will carry on cycling and see where I end up next. In the meantime you can sponsor me on my trek from John O’Groats to Lands End in aid of Ataxia UK by clicking here.
