I am excited to have a fresh new year ahead of me after managing to survive an arduous 2024.

I would like to start this blog by wishing all my readers a happy and successful 12 months ahead, even though it should be clear to everyone that the calendar year as we know it is just an artificial construct that is made to control and exploit us all.

2024 was a year of struggles, for many of my friends and myself, but only by keeping a positive mental attitude will we be able to turn things around and build a brighter tomorrow.

I have some important meetings this month with my new assigned social worker who has already showed signs that he is taking an interest in my health and wellbeing, which is something that my former social worker never did. Hopefully, this will be the start of an opportunity to build bridges with Wrexham County Borough Council, but after the way they have behaved towards me during 2023 and 2024, the jury remains out…

I will carry on with my activism work for the benefit of the entire disabled community as I feel guilty that I have had to focus on my own issues for so long now.

I will also use 2025 to create new art and maybe start work on my fourth book. Most of you will be happy to hear that this book will probably focus on some aspects of Welsh culture and there won’t be a football in sight.

Hopefully, Ataxia UK will continue to benefit from my virtual challenges through the End to End website. I am happiest when I am helping others and need to make sure that I am in a place where I can do just that.

One thing that a good friend of mine has introduced me to is a blue light card that will benefit my PA’s who work for me. This is exciting as it will hopefully lead to the job’s I offer becoming more attractive. I have always said that the role of a PA needs to be held in higher esteem by our selfish society and schemes like the ILG PA Card can only help with this. View the video below:
