Dirty Old Town: 10-10-70

Over the coming weeks, I will be adding a match programme for each of the games that I have focused on in Dirty Old Town.

This is the programme from the League Division Three match against Tranmere Rovers at the Racecourse on 10-10-70. Wrexham won the game 4-1.

After making his first-team debut in a 0-0 draw at Reading’s Elm Park, big Billy Ashcroft signed a professional contract at the age of 18 and took his bow in front of the Racecourse faithful against Tranmere Rovers.

He certainly didn’t fail to impress, with his outstanding aerial ability laying the foundations for Wrexham’s biggest win of the season.

The chapter goes on to summarise the match against Tranmere Rovers and our season in full as each chapter in Dirty Old Town does. This creates the ideal Xmas gift for all true Wrexham fans.
