Dirty Old Town: 01-04-67

Over the coming weeks, I will be adding a match programme for each of the games that I have focused on in Dirty Old Town.

This is the programme from the League Division Four match against Barrow at the Racecourse on 01/04/67. The game ended in a 1-1 draw.
At the end of 1966, the Town found themselves in fourth position and still had their eye on promotion out of the basement under Jack Rowley. The former Manchester United centre forward was carving out a reputation for himself as a canny manager, though results in the opening months of 1967 were inconsistent and saw us fall to eighth position ahead of this encounter with second placed Barrow.

The chapter goes on to summarise the match against Barrow, our season at this level – cups and all – as each chapter in Dirty Old Town does. This creates the ideal gift for all true Wrexham fans.
