Dirty Old Town: 11-10-47

Dirty Old Town: 11-10-47

Over the coming weeks, I will be adding a match programme for each of the games that I have focused on in Dirty Old Town.

This is a programme from our Derby day clash at The Racecourse against Chester in the League Division Three (Northern Section) back in 1947.

Wrexham went into this derby clash whilst riding high at the top of the league, although they had failed to win their last three matches.

The match was attended by 20,518 supporters. The home side beat their  hapless rivals 2-1.

The chapter goes on to summarise our season at this level – cups and all – as each chapter in Dirty Old Town does. This creates the ideal gift for all true Wrexham fans.
