As regular readers will know, I am writing a book on Wrexham AFC that I hope to have published by Xmas. As the countdown to publication begins I have decided to look back at the other Wrexham AFC titles that are available. Many of these books have been a fantastic source of information to me whilst researching the volume created by myself.

“A statistician’s dream, a first-class contribution to the club’s ongoing story … Jones is a football statistician of the highest order. His latest book is a cracker, a fascinating mix of stats, season reviews and match reports. There are lots of good things about this book: it’s mightily comprehensive.” Daily Post.
“A must for all Wrexham fans.” Wrexham Leader.

I cannot argue with any of these reviews. This is probably my favourite of the volumes produced by Peter Jones due to the seasons covered. These are comfortably familiar as I attended the majority of games/seasons covered and I can easily recall memories from statistics and quotes that feature in this accessible volume.
It was a key reference tool for me when writing my forthcoming book. That is the deepest form of flattery that it is possible to pay. If there are any copies of this book floating about on eBay then I would certainly recommend that you make an investment.
The book begins from the 1972/73 season to the 2001/02 season, includes a detailed round-up of campaign highlights, a match report of a memorable game, statistics galore and even factual tit-bits of information underneath full team line-ups.
