Draft Complete…

Draft Complete…

It has been too long since I last wrote anything on my blog. This virtual space has been neglected during 2022. I am far from happy with this, but the truth is that I just haven’t had the time.

The first six months of this calendar year have been spent trying to complete my book on Wrexham AFC during their Football League years (1921-2008). I have finally finished my first draft and it is now with proof readers in the hope of getting it ready for a Xmas release. I was a bit worried for a time back there. It seemed that I would miss the lucrative boat if the current team got promotion back to the Football League. I need not have worried though, as in true Wrexham style, we fucked it up again to spend yet another season in the non-league doldrums.

I still have plenty of work to do on this forthcoming title, but I wanted to drop my readers’ a line to reassure you that I am still in the land of the living. The staffing situation that has been a problem for so long, finally seems to be getting better with the recruitment of two contracted members of staff and four additions to my bank staff.

I am still trying to get the green light to purchase the exercise machine that will make such a big difference to my life and hopefully add a few years to my life expectancy. More about this exciting project can be found here.

Please watch this space for some new developments as I need to update the design of this webpage as I try to develop my brand and promote my three books.

Before anyone asks, no I am not enjoying this bloody hot weather as being stuck in a wheelchair all day just makes me sweaty and causes incredible itches when I finally peel my jeans off at the end of an evening. Bring on the winter months…

So that is your lot for now as I get back to the final slog of the book in a beautiful Boris-free zone. This is only clouded by the nagging uncertainty of who is successor will be. No doubt about the absolute worst choice – Jacob Rees-Mogg – and there should be no surprise that he would be the choice of one of my former heroes John Lydon. This is a creative genius who I once admired greatly as the king of anarchy, but his spectacular decline in my estimations has included an advertisement for Country Life butter, and appearance on a reality TV show, letting me down when meeting him at a book signing and now this bizarre admiration for a right-wing tool.

Anyway, as the world in which I used to believe, continues to crumble, I will try to make the most out of this situation that I find myself in. Keep your eyes peeled for future developments.

Speak soon xx

Introducing my Buy Me a Coffee page. This is an online space for people such as myself and, indeed, anyone with an audience – Youtubers, musicians, podcasters, writers, programmers, nonprofits, cosplayers, you name it…

This is an excellent idea to give creators an extra source of income, without asking for an outlandish financial commitment during these tough economic times.

Any donation would be greatly appreciated and used to positive effect, even if I don’t drink coffee in everyday life. Virtually, I can’t get enough of the stuff, so what are you waiting for?
