Urgent – Social Care Campaign – Request for case studies

I received the following email from Reclaiming Our Futures Alliance (ROFA), regarding the crisis in social care. This an opportunity for all those affected by the current situation, to have their say. We cannot let this chance pass us by, and all need to make our voices heard.

Please read the message below, join in by making a video or sending an email, share with friends or family and enjoy the part you will have played in helping to maintain and improve social care for future generations.

We’ve reached a crucial point in our social care campaign – over the next few weeks, the House of Lords will be debating changes to the Health and Care Bill. There’s a key decision deadline in a couple of weeks, so now is the time to put the pressure on,

You can help by sending us a video clip up to 120 seconds (2 minutes) explaining

If you would like to take part, please send a video clip no longer than 120 seconds (2 minutes) to us on WhatsApp using the phone number 07561 064 227, or you can email jon.abrams@inclusionlondon.org.uk The video can be self-shot or someone else can film you.

When filming, please:

1. Turn the phone or device, so it is in a landscape position

2. Introduce yourself (if you would prefer to remain anonymous, just leave out your name)

3. Tell us your story: what social care support do you get, how much you get charged, if you pay for social care out of welfare benefits, and what you have to go without or cut down on, for example, heating, food, holidays, going out with friends

When you send us your video, please tell us where in the UK you are from. The footage may be used on Inclusion London’s website and our social media. By sending us your video, you are agreeing to it being used in this way. Please also make sure that anyone else in your clip has given their consent for you to share it.
