After years of persevering with Nokia mobile phones that do not connect to the internet, play music or take photographs, I have decided that it is time to embrace new technologies and invest in an iPad. This will allow me to upload photos on to Instagram, which has to be a good thing, as it will boost my online presence.
There is a perfectly valid reason why I have resisted investing in an iPhone or smartphone in the past. Due to my disability I am unable to use touchscreen mobile devices, and subsequently have to rely on outdated phones that allow me to use the keypad, as everyone used to do in the olden days. I have decided to keep my Nokia mobile phone to send and receive texts and make calls, but I will buy an iPad to allow me to gain access to other social media platforms.
I will be unable to use the iPad independently and have to rely on my support workers to operate the device on my instruction. This is a shame, but I now have a strong team after recruiting three new members of staff since October. These have bolstered the loyal and reliable staff that have been in my employment for a number of years. With this extra support I will be able to open a number of doors that have frustratingly been closed to me.

I remain on Facebook And Twitter, of course, but I look forward to making new friends and contacts on Instagram.
