EDDIE IZZARD VISITING WREXHAM TO SUPPORT MARY WIMBURY’S CAMPAIGN

EDDIE IZZARD VISITING WREXHAM TO SUPPORT MARY WIMBURY’S CAMPAIGN

This is the email I received about Eddie Izzard’s visit to Wrexham tomorrow:

EDDIE IZZARD IN WREXHAM ON TUESDAY 26TH NOVEMBER TO SUPPORT MARY WIMBURY’S CAMPAIGN TO KEEP WREXHAM LABOUR

Eddie Izzard is coming to Wrexham tomorrow – 26th November – to support Mary Wimbury’s campaign to keep Wrexham Labour. He will have having coffee with Mary at the bus station and at 1.30 pm will be walking through the town with Mary to arrive at the Labour Party gazebo in the town centre outside Barclays Bank.

He will be with Mary and the Wrexham Labour team until 2.30 pm engaging with voters, helping to promote our fairer parking for Wrexham petition and generally supporting Mary’s campaign.

Come along and join in:

• Walk with Eddie and Mary through the town down Lord Street and then Regent Street to the gazebo

• Help to bring people over to the stall to meet Eddie

• Give out Mary’s leaflet and get people to sign our petition.

We need lots of support so spread the message and even if you cannot join us yourselves, please tell others what is happening!

For those of you outside the Wrexham area or unable to attend tomorrow, I would recommend visiting Mary’s website by clicking here.

In 2017, I visited Wrexham town centre to meet Steve Coogan when he visited our ramshackle town to support Labour candidate Ian Lucas.

Things have changed a lot in those two years, and tomorrow comedian Eddie Izzard will be in the area to support the latest Labour candidate Mary Wimbury as she battles for votes to keep Wrexham from the clutches of the Tories. It is more important than ever that we get behind Mary Wimbury to ensure that Jeremy Corbyn can replace Boris Johnson in Downing Street on December the 13th.

Wrexham has been well represented by Ian Lucas MP who has unfortunately had to stand down for personal reasons. He has always been supportive towards me and his experience as a Member of Parliament will be missed. Mary Wimbury is a good public speaker who we must have faith in to do what is right for the tired Wrexham area. The fact that we have a Tory/Independent led Council has contributed to the downfall of our once bustling town. One of Mary’s key pledges is to regenerate the area. She deserves the chance to do this, as Tories have proved before that they are just not up to the job. Let’s give Mary a chance. Let’s keep Wrexham a Labour town. Let’s make sure Britain is ruled for the many, not the few.
