On September the 14th, I was travelling around South Birmingham searching for the fibreglass owls that make up The Big Hoot trail. One I found was number 78: FITCAP Wisey by Mr the Beef (Inkygoodness).

Mr the Beef draws inspiration from street art, mid-century design, overheard conversations, brutalist architecture and a childhood in the 1980s, and his work centres around the humorous world of characters that he creates.
Based at 3rd Space Studios in Nottingham, he spends his days creating unique, playful and bold characters in an accessible and vibrant manner – working on a variety of surfaces, including drawings on card, print on paper, paintings on board or found objects.
Mr the Beef is one of the founding members of the illustration collective Brothers of the Stripe. He has collaborated with and been involved in several Inkygoodness projects, including a recent SKETCH event in Birmingham; live drawing with the rest of the Brothers of the Stripe crew.
