On September the 5th, I was traipsing around Birmingham City Centre searching for fibreglass owls. One I found was number 36: Swirly Whirly Birmingham Owl-land by Rachel Blackwell.
Rachel Blackwell is an artist based in Malvern, Worcestershire. She makes paintings of a whimsical world, called ‘Swirly Whirly Land’ – an imaginary world, filled with crooked cottages, loopy chimneys, hot air balloons, sparkling stars and button flowers!
Rachel graduated from Worcester University, with a degree in Fine Art Practice, in 2011. Since then, she has exhibited her work nationally at galleries in London, Birmingham, Exeter, Malvern and Worcester.
