Laura Hallett is a Birmingham born, Falmouth graduate and freelance illustrator, working primarily in watercolour, acrylic, ink, and pencil crayon.  She is inspired by vintage fashions and trends, and by the escapist qualities of classic children’s books. She is also interested in social and political history and is fascinated by people’s everyday lives and interactions with one another, seeking to capture this in her work.

Laura has experience in narrative, educational, information and design-based work.
